The "Mia" dress

Here is another Baptism gown that I just finished. This dress was made from Mommy's wedding dress which was finally located after an intensive search! I also made a matching Baptism bonnet with the left over material from the wedding dress. I think they turned out beautifully and will be cherished by her family and generations to come.

"B" is for Bella the Birthday Girl

My husband's God-daughter's birthday is in a couple of weeks. We'll be out of town for her big 1st Birthday party, but we wanted to send something for her to wear during the big celebration. A cute little cupcake dress and "B" shirt to wear undeneath and afterwards as well.

A tie for all occasions!

Camo can be "formal" too!

More Team Spirit!

USF team colors inspired dress and a Steeler Dress! Go Team Go!

Disney Trip

Our daugher's 2nd birthday is coming up! WOW- that's crazy to type that out! Anyways, since her birthday is sort of lost in the Christmas shuffle and everyone has such a busy schdedule during December, we've planned a trip to Disney World to celebrate her birthday! WDW will be decoated for Christmas, "snow", twinkling lights, and festive carols all around- I can't wait! I made a Mickey Christmas dress to wear with a long sleeved shirt and perhaps leggings as well!

Christmas Dresses

I've been having lots of fun with Christmas fabrics. To make the dresses a bit more "special" and festive, I've added a gold ruffle to some of them. Paired with gold ribbon ties and gold shoes, this is a darling dress for the Holiday season.

Steelers (5,2)

What better way for the little guy in your life to show off their team (okay- their parents') team spirit during the game....

Faux-tie Shirts

Gotta have something for the boys! How about a coordinating "faux-tie" shirt for the little fellas to go with the Ruffles & Ribbons dresses for the gals..... Super Cute!

For Thanksgiving!

Elmo Party

This dress was made for a little one's upcoming Elmo birthday party. What a great way to play up a themed birthday party! This came out so cute that I think I'll have to make one for Reagan as well. She kept trying to "steal" the material away from me and "talk" to Elmo!

Team Spirit

The UNC Tarheel dress that I made came out super cute with the addition of the navy polka dot ruffle. I love polka dots (have you noticed) Go Tarheels!

Great Idea!

Recently  "K" approached me with a cute idea. Her mom had made her a dress when she was 3 and she had her portraits taken in them. While the dress is no longer around, she wanted to have the dress replicated and have her now 3 year old daugher have pictures taken in it and have them framed side-by-side for her mom's Christmas present. Can't wait to see the pictures!

Patriotic Dress

I made this dress for my little friend whose Daddy is going to Iraq in a few months!

Christmas Holiday Outfits

*UPDATE* this "faux-tie" shirt design has been updated! (it no longer looks like a bowling pin)

Since it's imparative that my two kids match during the Holiday seasons... (wait, who am I kidding? I'm lucky if my son keeps his clothes on). I just finished a Christmas dress and matching "Faux-tie" shirt for Reagan and Jacob.

Baptism gown

I just recently finished this Baptism gown for baby Ava. It was made using the material and embroidery from her Mommy's wedding dress!

Pumpkin Patch

How cute would your little one be in this dress while picking out a pumpkin at the patch this Fall. This dress was ordered for a very special little "pumpkin".

Dresses

There are so many color combinations possible...whatever you can imagine can be done!
Don't forget that the dresses can be paired with leggings, tights and a long sleeved shirt for the cooler weather.

Here are a few examples of dresses that have been made.

This dress would look super cute with brown or aqua tights!

"Pebbles's" mommy is going to pair this dress with black leggings for a fun Halloween costume

My daughter Reagan is going to wear this dalmation dress at our son's Fireman themed birthday party!

This color combo was suggested to me as a replica seen in a boutique.

Any color combinations/ideas you would like to see? Let me know, I just may make one for Reagan to test it out~

By Popular Request

Our family just moved to Tampa two months ago, and apparently I've under-estimated the enthusiasm for the Bucs fans- like completely! So, by popular request here is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Apron!

Gator Apron!

This weekend we hosted a Gator Football party! I made lots of yummy food and the apron saved my white shorts.

Perfect for the holidays

A cute reversible apron with ruffle is perfect for the holidays. Know someone who has everything and don't know what to get them? I know I do! I have a feeling that I'll be making quite a few of these for Holiday party hostess gifts and Secret Santa exchanges. These are great for crafting, cleaning and cooking! This is an adult size, but children's sizes could be made as well

Have you ordered a dress?

If you have a Ruffles & Ribbons dress- I know who you are ;) I'd love to see pics of your little one(s) in them. They don't have to be used on the blog, but I'd love to see how they fit and look on someone/thing other than my little Reagan or a hanger on the front door!

Thanks everyone!

New Fabrics

Went to the store to get more turkey fabric and saw a few things that I "needed" to get. Another fun Fall combo and some Christmas stuff coming up!

Does it get cold where you live?

We live in Florida, so that's not usally a problem for us, though on days when it gets below 70 degrees we do get out our winter jackets and turn on the heat! :) Layer a dress over tights/leggings and a long sleeved shirt or turtle neck for cooler weather. Here's Reagan ready for Fall!

Does your little "Turkey" need a dress?

Made with silly little turkey fabric, a double ruffle of brown polka-dots and orange polk-dots, and brown satin ribbon ties. Would look darling in other solid/pattern fall color combinations!

Halloween is just around the corner

Black on black "spooky" bats with silver glitter or yummy candy corns with orange polka dot orange ruffle and orange satin ribbon ties!

It's that time of year! Go Gators!!!

Show your team spirit with these adorable Gator dresses! Made with University of Florida fabric and coordinating colored ruffle. Super easy to wear; as a dress, over a shirt and/or over pants for when that chilly weather comes along! Other teams can be represented. Additional fee for rival teams ;) (just kidding)

Special Occasion Dresses

I recently made my daughter's church dedication dress from the material and lace of my wedding dress. It was certainly a labor of love and I am thrilled with the results. What better way to get an additonal use out of your wedding dress! We even had a photoshoot of her in the Secret Garden located in Naples, FL by the fabulous Terrilyn of lifeXpressions photography.
